historic building recording
Historic building recording is sometimes required in advance of alterations to historic buildings. The scope of this type of project can vary from a basic photographic survey to a comprehensive analytical record. The level of survey will usually depend on the precise requirements of the planning authority. Many authorities refer to definitions of different levels of building recording set out in an Historic England publication Understanding Historic Buildings: A Guide to Good Recording Practice, 2016.
We have a broad range of experience in historic building recording, with particular specialisation in recording 19th to 20th Century farmsteads in Lincolnshire and surrounding counties.
